This adjuster is the pits always a delay tactic. Every time you call her she has a reason for not making a settlement on your claim. The latest was, "we are having a blizzard". Her husband has been sick and she has been on vacation. I did all of the work for her and she still can't settle the claim. I have called her boss on several occasions and still don't have a return call from him. I can only hope that she has a claim with someone who does the same thing to her. I missed three weeks of work and went to the doctor four times and she thinks the claim is over stated. This girl thinks that if she screws me around long enough I will go away - ain't happening. I have now made a department of insurance complaint which of course will only give her more time to delay paying me. The good hands people have given me the finger.

he will 'up' 'raise' an appraisal with any company of repair....especially a direct repair place....to gain his own benefit..... ie: merchandise for himself. his vehicles, or for people he knows...he will do 'favors' he will wheel and deal to get something for himself, a favor owed, pay one back, and "who cares "about those he is screwing. i have witnessed it personally first hand!! and that is another reason why rates are so much higher for everyone!

Similar situation to Houston Texas accident. An allstate insured hit my son in my car. The other driver admitted fault, and was issued a citation for an unsafe left turn. Allstate decided my son was 30% at fault, so deducted 30% from the repair charge and the rental car. Only recourse is to go to court. And they know that...They also know that they are professionals, whose job it is to lower claims, and they are dealing with working folks who don't know the in's and out's of insurance, who have to clock out just to make a phone call, to argue about whose fault the accident is. Good luck, don't let them get away with it... George

Reason This Adjuster Sucks

I was involved in accident with an Allstate insured. The other party was at fault and recieved a citation from the Houston Police Department. I'm getting signals that Allstate may be getting ready to give me the run around. I did not have any physical injuries,but my vehicle did receive some damage. All I want is for Allstate to pay for the damage.I do not want or expect anything I am not due. In Texas, all driver's are required to have auto liability insurance. I think we would do better with a no fault system, but the insurance companies and trial lawyers are not going to let that happen. My plan of attack in case of a screwing by Allstate, is to sue the insured in small claims court. Harrass the insured until he gets his insurance company takes care of business. In my case, I have already performed a substantial investigation on the insured. I know everything about him, his family,finances, and so forth. I figure he could take Allstate to court for breach of contract.

This woman is ridiculous and bogus. She asks for the same information OVER AND OVER without even blinking. It's been almost a year and still have not gotten close until the other day where she decided the kids injuries were "predominately" soft tissue.....never mind the pain and suffering, the neurological aspects, the NEW DIAGNOSIS OF SINUS DISEASE from the airbag fumes.....never had problems with my kids getting into the car, or scared when they hear brakes or reminded DAILY of where the accident was and "mom is that stupid man who didnt care about us going to hit us again" it was an agent ON A CELL PHONE that's the good hands they speak of .....uhmmmm guess the hands were busy flicking ppl off and screwing them over as usual, go with state farm, two days after accident they were there WITH GOOD HANDS, LIKE A NEIGHBOR allstate.....we rarely hear from them, they talk down to you like your nothing, (FYI I MAKE MORE MONEY THAN YOU DO WITH A MORE RESPECTFUL JOB) so get over your pitiful self and HELP ppl....yeah right!!!!

Ask any panel shop about Allstate. They are universal in their opinion – Allstate sucks and they’d prefer not to do business with them. The worst of the adjusters is a character called Terry Stanley. He claims to have been an ‘expert panel beater’ and now works as an adjuster. If he get assigned to you job be very, very careful – don’t trust a word he says. He’s got the character of a snake - a big mouthed redneck with the brains the size of a pea. In my case – I sprung the door on my car. He recommended replacing the outer skin. The panel shop disagreed and when he bragged that he could do the job they called his bluff and offered him use of the workshop. Of course this loudmouth declined. He knew he’d made the wrong call and called me to tell me the plan. “we’ll replace the skin, if that’s not satisfactory, we’ll get a replacement door, and if we can’t find a suitable door we’ll buy you a new door”. My mistake was to take him at his word. Sure enough – the panel shop tried but with the door frame damaged and twisted, the repair looked terrible. I called Mr. Stanley to tell him that plan “a” didn’t work and that we need to move to plan “b”. He told me he was having cell phone problems and couldn’t hear me. I’ve never been able to get hold of him since – and believe me I’ve tried and tried. Well guess what – there never was a plan “b” or plan “c”. We junked the original door and started again. This IDIOT my wasted time and money. My cars been in the shop seven weeks and I’ve had to pay for ALL of the repairs. Here’s a photo of his colleague vehicle – if they look after there own vehicle like this, how can you expect them to look after yours?

Based on my conversations with Scott, I can't figure out what he actually does. As far as my case goes (minor auto claim), he did nothing for me. When I asked him about recovering my deductible and car rental expense from the other party, he said "We'll have to go after them for that. Giv me the information." I gave him what I had, a police report number with all invloved parties' data. Called Scott back about 10 days later, to see how the claim was going withthe other insurance company (State Farm)- Scott says, "Oh no, you have to call them to work that out." Hey thatnks Scott. Glad to see you're working so hard. A**hole!! Although he was kind enough to give the State Farm contact info. What nice surprise State Farm was! They were courteous, helpful and friendly. To date (73 days after the initial claim), no money back, but it appears State Farm is waiting for Allsnake to return the "Subrogation Proofs". Again, I called Scott to get status update - he couldn't tell me much from looking at his computer screen. As he explained "It's all done in Dallas, so I really don't know." Glad Allstate keeps theiradjusters in the loop on their claims. Seems to me I should get some of Scott's salary, since so far, I've done more work on this claim.

Having failed the GED examination more times than I can Count. MR LEWIS SMITH ADJUSTED A TRAVEL TRAILER FROM OUTSIDE THE STORAGE YARD AND TOTALLED THE TRAILER. A COMPANY REP. FROM THE FACTORY VIEWED SLIDES TAKEN FROM INSIDE AND OUTSIDE TH TRAILER AND TOLD ME THE DAMAGE WAS MINIMAL AND COULD BE EASILY REPAIRED. LEWIS SMITH SAID THAT IF THAT IS THE CASE ,ALLSTATE WOULD PAY ONLY FOR PARTS. NO LABOR. WHERE IDS THE LOGIC/ I AM HAVING A LOSS AND SINCE I CAN REPAIR THE DAMAGE I SHOULD GET LESS THAN IF THEY SELLIT FOR SALVAGE? THIS GUY IS NO ADJUSTER. Aaron is with the "special investigation unit" of the Houston claims office. Aaron is a bully and takes advantage of people's forgetfulness and ALWAYS! thinks a claim is a fraud. Oh, and if you had a minor property damage on your vehicle it's absolutely out of the question that you could be hurt. Although hundreds of engineering reports have proved otherwise he will screw you over and over. Aaron is very vicious in his recorded statement, he will show you pictures of your doctor (20 years ago) and oh boy! if you can't identify him, it's a fraud for sure. Not only that, if you had 30 doctor visits and you can't remember exactly and you say 29, it's a fraud according to him. He is rude, belligerent, uncooperative, cocky, smart-assed and totally unprofessional.

All 4 of the above are Team Leaders at the Indianapolis Auto Express MCO. 2 of them are former adjustors, and if you had the misfortune of dealing with one of them, my sympathies. I worked at Allstate for nearly 2 years and these 4 "managers" made every day hell. If you are employed at one of the Auto Expresses yourself, I am sure you have experienced managers giving you half-assed information and borderline harassing you. However hired these 4 "managers" clearly was in a state of drunkeness or must truly be incompetent. One of the above has the personality of a gorilla with a power trip,one is a cocky,aggressive person,one of the ladies has severe PMS or a severe personality disorder that makes her sweet as pie one minute and the Devil the next,and the last one has got the sense God gave Barbie. My experience with Anari Eu has been extreemly traumatic for me. I don't know what I am ever going to do. In April 2002 I bought my DREAM car. A 1994 Ford Taurus with 120k miles on it for $1100. I had wanted a car like this all my adult life. Within days my life became a living hell. While I was parked next to a dumpster in South Central LA, waiting for a business associate to come out, I was hit in the rear by an Allstate insured. My bumper was scratched and the tailight was cracked. Also I suffered a severe back injury. Anari Eu was the first adjuster I talked to and he said he would handle everything. He wrote an estimate on the spot for $269.43 and offered me a check. I told him I was hopeing for $300. He then agreed that my car was a total loss, called in for a value and said my car was worth $2500. I explained this was my dream car and while I had only had it about 6 hrs, I was very attached to it. He agreed it was in good condition and upped the offer to $3000. Seeing I was still reluctant he said I could keep the totaled out car for $7. Again I was upset, so he just said he would write me a check for $3000 and I could keep the car. He also called a freind who runs a body shop and made arangements to replace the tail light, paint the scratch in the bumper, wax my entire car, and give me a loaner while they did this. Of course, the repairs were now to be at my expense, but Anari Eu did negotiate for me and got the shop to agree to the repairs for about half of his original estimate. (I finanaly paid $125 for the work) The only loner car available when I took my car in for repairs was an Audi A3. I also mentioned to Anari Eu that my back really hurt (by this time he was really pissing me off) and he agreed to hook me up with a pip adjuster. The pip adjuster took a recorded statement from me where I admitted that I was not presently working, I had quit my job at the car wash making minimum wage weeks before, to search for a better position. I explained that I was now unable to work, but felt that before the accident I was very close to securing a position at $500 a day. This unsympathetic pip adjuster said she could only offer $250 a day. She knew I had no choice to accept, as I really needed the money. But I did call Anari Eu again, thinking he could help, but he was very rude, even when I advised the new position I thought I might get was working 7 days a week and they were only paying me for 5. He grumbled and complained but later got the pip adjuster to pay me for all 7 days, though not at $500 a day. This went on for days, weeks, months, all while I went to many Doctors for treatment, (which Allstate grudeinly paid for) until they came to apoint where they said it was time to settle this once and for all. I said I had discussed this with an attorney (which cost me $1000) and reluctantly they agreed to pay the attorney bill. Then they advised me against using an attorney as they got all the money. They said I would be better to negotiate for myself. I said if Allstate would set up a 1 million dollar anuity for me, and agree to pay any additional medical bills for this accident, I would settle. They offered a measly $250,000 and medical for 5 years. They said they felt this was fair as Anari Eu had seen me at the local soccer turnament. I explained that the only way I could play Goalie was to take 2 morphine shots just before gametime, and another at halftime. I explained that I could not go to work that way and even at $250 a day $250,000 was not enough. I received no care and concern by the Allstate pip adjuster or Anari Eu when I explained the emotional distress and mental anguish I suffered. This went on for several weeks, but finally I had to settle for $500,000 because I could no longer afford the pool man every week, and at two week intervals the water was becoming green. Also, my 1994 Taurus had been in the shop for nearly 2 months now and I was getting sick of driving the Audi. But you see, Allstate knew I had no choice to settle for $500,000 plus medical for 5 years plus repairs to my car. They said it should be enough since they had been paying me $250 a day 7 days a week since the accident happened. Even when I tried to explain this was just not enough, I got told life is tough and was showed no compassion. Anari Eu and the other allstate adjusters just don't treat injured persons fair. They are criminals that should be behind bars.

Actually my adjuster did not suck. He was patient and kind and took the time to explain things to me. He was so sweet and we got along really good. What sucks is the way he got treated. I was talking to him about my dog one day and he told me his manager told him to get off the phone and back to work. He drove an old honda or something and had been there for years and I know he was not happy with the pay but that did not effect his attitude. He was always so happy. He always had a joke for me. It did take him a long time to settle the claim but he told me that we could settle it whenever I felt like settling it. He was nice to me. I was happy with the money he gave me to settle my claim. I wasn't really hurt, just real sore but he still put a smile on my face when I got the check! I am frustrated because I got rearended again about two months ago by someone that had allstate and I requested Michael to be my adjuster. They told me that he was not employed by Allstate anymore. I did not think I was in trouble but the adjuster I got pretended to care but really didn't. I already miss Michael. I asked my adjuster why she couldn't be like Michael and she said she knew him and she got her work done. She said she did not walk around the office making people smile because she did not have time for that. She said that unlike Michael, she get's real raises and awards at work. I was shocked at that. After that, she said she was getting off the phone and I have not talked to her since. I miss Michael and if he was working for another company, I would want him to be my adjuster. Allstate needs to keep more people like Michael who are friendly and not people who are just after saving money and the bottom line. It's not just about money. I have a life and now that my dog pertrude died in the accident, my life is so empty. If you are reading this, "ALLSTATE, GO RE-HIRE MICHAEL" and train your adjusters to be like him! PS I hope I did not misspell anything as my arthritis is bothering my middle finger.

Mercury Insurance sucks. This adjuster is allegedly a supervisor with Mercury. I contacted her because NO ONE contacted me about my claim. This so called supervisor blamed me rather than trying to get to the reason no one from her company contacted me. She further violated the California Insurance Code regulations by telling me if I did not like the lack of service I was receiving from Mercury, I could just go thru my own carrier. Keri is a horrible adjuster. I was in a car wreck, and she came to my hospital to try to settle the claim. I was sedated, and heavily medicated at the time, and she offered me $3,000 to settle the claim. I told her no way, even though I could hardly function and was on enough drugs to sedate an elephant. When I told her now, she offered me $5,000 and told me she would fellate me right there in the hospital...so i accepted. I cant beleive she would visit me in the hospital like that.

I have worked at a personal injury law firm for almost 10 years now in Houston, Texas and have handled thousands of cases. As the years have gone by I have also watched Allstate screw more people out of money, lie, cheat and generally play this game by their rules and their rules only. The sad part is that is does not, matter whether you were hit by an Allstate insured or you are an Allstate insured, their goal is to cheat you either way. I realize that in any business there are your scams and fraudulent claims. I am not so naďve as to think insurance fraud doesn’t happen. What I am talking about is good claims, with good injuries, good amounts of property damage, a good course of treatment and a horribly crappy offer. I have had to stand by and watch as people got hit by an Allstate insured, submit their claim with a good injury and then Allstate send them to an IME which is basically bullshit code for we are sending you to a doc that we will pay to say you are not hurt and then come back and give a low offer based on this docs report. These adjusters are Allstate clones. They have bought into the theory that people are not hurt no matter what the facts of the case. Jackie Lamberti is assigned to First Party claims and has no clue how to handle them. She is a dumb ass that has been handed a job that she has no clue how to handle. If you do first party UIM claims send her a notice of your UIM claim and do not send any docs as you are not entitled to. She HAS to ASK for them within 15 days!!!! She won’t. She will sit on her ass and do nothing and then state emphatically that she knows what she is doing and that she is in the right. It is an easy way to trap Allstate for violations of the insurance code. The only problem is explaining to Allstate insureds how their insurance company that has taken checks from them for years and cashed them is now screwing them out of money!!! Good hands my ass!!! The rest of the adjusters listed are as evil and maniacal as the rest. Allstate cries that plaintiffs personal injury firms set everything up and plan it all out to cheat them out of their hard earned money when in fact we are just trying to get fair and equitable settlements for the people their insured’s hit. If you have a claim in Houston Texas beware of the 1500 city west crew. They are all cheats, liars, they will lose docs and ask that you resend then time and time again, will stall your claims, ask for IME’s and after all this…..low ball you without any sort of explanation. My hope is this…..one day one of these assholes is plowed, and I mean friggen plowed by someone who has just as crappy as insurance as Allstate and they get the same treatment. I guarantee they are the same bunch of whining assholes that would end up in our office asking for us to represent them because they are not being treated fairly. God help them if I find out who they work for you bunch of self serving bitches!!!

An elderly lady had a tire blow out and go up over the curb with her vehicle. It tore up things on the underside. Wayne came out and looked at it. The body shop had to get him out again as he missed things. Three months after she got her car back, she had to be towed in, needing a radiator since the coolant fan blade had cut through the radiator, requiring $1200 in repairs and replacements. The radiator had been replaced in the repair. Apparently the damage to the coolant fan blade was not noticed. Wayne says tough luck......

It is a foregone conclusion that Jan Mainella will never be available by telephone. She directed me not to use e-mail or fax [why then provide this information?) and only use the U.S. postal system to which she also neglects to respond, though by Michigan Law has 30 days to reply.Her last communication to me was 130 days ago though I write to her at least every 14 days. She is still "researching" the reasonable and medical necessity of a roll-in shower home modification for me -a C-5 complete quadriplegic. In the meantime, I was hosed down in the garage for over two years [weather permitting] and used a bucket as my toilet. My accident was 6/97 and I still have not received any reimbursement for bathroom modifications to meet my needs and the prescribed ADA requirements though fully documented and submitted 3 years ago.

This adjuster is a low baller. She has an attitude that she is holier than thou. She is willing to cheat her own policyholders out of money ( imagine that, I think that is allstates motto) She is of the group that says, "it was a low impact accident and its not possible for someone to sustain an injury from such little force" Well, it happens Orlanna, just like folks who can get a herniated disc from leaning over the bathroom sink too far. Don't think leaning over too far is the result of an impact. I guess you would say thats not possible either. I don't see how you can sleep at night, probably cause you don't give a rat's a** about anyone but yourself and your paycheck. Maybe one day you will be involved in an accident with an allstate insured and get screwed just like you do people everyday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our son has medical bills still unpaid from when he was hit by a car. The driver was covered by Allstate. I also have not been reimbursed for my time and some of my mileage in having to take care of him. It's been 10 months. This adjuster ingnores calls from my son's attorney, and when he does get through she always has an excuse. Her time is up!!!

Took my statement and modified it to a point where even I questioned if I was existing in another realm of reality. The name Allstate rings bells though...when explaining to friends my claim situation they would ask, "well who's your insurance company and I would reply,"Allstate"...people frown up when you put that name in the air...like I said somethin about their momma. I mention that to say this...with the amount of people that are aware of Allstate's practices time isn't long before they implode and collapse financially. Even though my claim was eventually settled fairly it took a long time and two attorneys...all that was effectively accomplished was a drawn out waiting period. Had Allstate settled my claim fairly to begin with they could've saved thousands of dollars in attorney fees...theirs and mine. After this experience I can't see how Allstate saves money by denying claims cause my lawyers stuck it to they asses in court. These adjusters are compromising their own job security by employing the bad faith tactics they use...because word is getting around and when people start going elsewhere and opting not to renew policies they themselves will find themselves victims of downsizing. I've also learned that Allstate's practices resemble a pyramid scheme between policy holders and share holders.

Hey I know this woman Auto Adjuster that they are talking about here . I used to work at Allstate with her as A field Auto Adjuster. We had a nickname for her I dont think I should repeat. You could say that She would do anything to get to the top. And I mean ANYTHING OR ANYONE She knew the money was in going to the body shop and dealing one on one with the owner of the shops and I know she was making at least $ 250,000 per year she even showed me a thing or two. but some how I got caught and lost my job and now I am looking at cars at a ford dealer in the Antlope Valley area of California not making the cash that we were making that is for sure. I know why she is still there and the upper managers look the other way it is because she can do things that myself as a man would not or could not do if you know what I am saying. anyway I just thought that I would voice my story not being a body shop owner but as a ex friend and former co worker. good luck if you have to deal with her , believe me she makes a better friend than foe..dont piss her off.

Well we thought that Allstate had taken care of this woman adjuster that has been ripping us and so many other body shops off here in the San Fernando Valley of California , but her replacement adjuster came in today and told us that Allstate has given this woman a award for being one of the top employee in the state of California this past year. She was given a free trip to Orlando , Flordia for her and a guest for a week , and allstate was paying for everything. the plane ticket , ( that is one we did not have to pay for at least ) free tickets to the magic kingdom ( again at least we are not paying for that either ) this is F**KING unbelievable how can this woman rip off hard working people for years and it is not like we have not tried to inform Allstate that this was happening , so what did Allstate do , instead of firing her and having her sent to Jail for illegal kickbacks , they give her a award and are going to pay her by sending her and one of her boyfriends to Flordia. So if you get time in the next day or two the phone number listed above is the last work number we had for her , give her a call and tell her to have a great trip and let her know that there are alot of hard working people just trying to make ends meet. And people like her should not be winning trips and awards but should be locked up and making licence plates . ....I just have one thing to say F**CKING unbelievable. Well good news , my brother got a call this morning from someone at the allstate office in Diamond Bar. He wanted us to know that they have been looking into this woman auto adjuster and they have removed her from the field. She is now working in a office in somewhere in Southern California they would not tell us where , they told her it was because she was doing a great job and they needed her to work a special job for them. My brother was told they can watch her this way , and she will not have any personal contract with any body shop owner one on one. It has taken too long for some action to take place , we have looked into hiring a Lawyer and see if there is any legal actions we can take . We just hope that this is the end of this type of illegal business actions. and we hope that the new adjuster that Allstate sends will not do business this way. We are thankful that we found this website and we were able to voice our problems. It really worked and we no longer have to deal with this woman again.

We have tried everything we can think of to get Allstate to do something about this auto adjuster . we have called every manger in Southern Calif and all we get is the old run around. we are told that they know what is going on with her and they are looking into her and someone will call us back , it has been over one year and no one has called us back , no one seem to know anything about this when we call back. so we have got together and found this website and we thought that just maybe if we would write our stories , maybe the people at Allstate may sit up and take some type of action , Our Family owns over 10 auto body shops here in the San Fernando Valley and for the last 10 years we have fixed her cars , paid for trips , tickets to disneyland for her kids , sent money to banks in another state. , and when we tell her that it is going to stop she tells ok fine but you will never repair any more cars again for allstate again , and since this was her area and no other adjuster from allstate would be in it was her way or the highway.. Please we are doing our best to make a living and raise our family , but we will not take this way of doing business anymore..so maybe if this gets back to someone at Allstate maybe they will do something and put a end to this way of doing business.

Let me start at the beginning. Our home burned down (total loss) on August 10, 2002. As of today, February 23, 2003 (six month and 13 days after the fire), our claim is still not settled. In fact, what remains of our home, is still standing, causing a public safety issue and nuisance, thanks to MR. DENNIS SHELTON, our structure adjuster. He is the poorest excuse for a human being that I have ever come into contact with in my entire life. From the first time we ever had to have contact with him, he has tried to screw us over. He never returned phone calls, treated us like we were the scum of the earth, lied, lied, lied, and oh, lied some more. He would come up with these figures, for the rebuild of our home, but couldnt tell us or our contractor where the numbers came from. The numbers didnt even correspond with our policy or any actual costs of rebuilding our home. Our policy was for replacement cost of our dwelling (up to 135,000 + 20% above and beyond, and debris removal or demolition. In the beginning he tried to tell us we had too much insurance, which is what sparked an investigation, which finally concluded that the fire was accidental and electrical. Now come on, too much insurance, highly unlikely, rather i believe we were paying too much for the insurance we had. It was an AllState agent that advised us to get this kind of coverage, because that was the amount they said it would take to rebuild our home if something were to ever happen. Well, unfortunately, something did happen. We lost our home and almost lost our lives. It's a damn shame that ALLSTATE wants to take as much money from their customers as they can, but when that customer finally needs them, they are willing to give little if any to the customer. It is even more amazing to me that the adjusters are contradicting each other. There's the adjuster, that encourages you to buy the best policy they offer, because you're home is worth it, then, sometime down the line, after you finally need to use your policy, there's the adjustor telling you that your home is not worth the amount of coverage you had been paying for. We finally got wise and hired a public adjuster, MIDWEST PUBLIC ADJUSTING INC.(located in South Bend IN). What was really funny to me, was that when we met with our public adjuster we couldnt remember Dennis' last name. However, the public adjuster knew all too well, that the adjuster we were talking about was DENNIS SHELTON. This was sad. What was also sad about the whole situation, was that when we were contacting contractors to give bids on the rebuild of our home, over 20 refused to help us, because ALLSTATE was the insurance company involved. Maybe I should have known then, that the so called"Good Hands" that we were in, weren't so good at all. However, I did encounter one decent person at ALLSTATE, his name, TONY JACKSON, our contents adjuster. He has bent over backwards to help us. He hasn't tried to humiliate, degrade, treat us like shi*, or screw us, unlike DENNIS SHELTON. To Dennis: I have these words for you: What goes around, comes around. You may not get what you deserve in this lifetime, but eventually, you will have to answer to a higher power, for all your wrongdoings.

As a licensed adjuster, I am well aware of my duties to the public. We submitted a minor claim several times; Williams agreed to pay it then after months of delay tactics, finally told us to go back and figure out labor hours on a 2 year old estimate. It wasn't until I threatened to tell her insured that she was exposing him/her to personal liability that she finally paid the lousy $300 claim. I will NEVER work for allstate. I simply cannot believe that a company that was once held in such high esteem continuously practices bad faith claims handling, not only against their own insureds, but against the general public as well. Adjusters have a duty to act with integrity at all times. This adjuster has no idea of the meaning of that word, no regard for the interest of her policyholders, no regard for professional courtesy and she's a dangerous example of what "pinch a penny, lose a thousand" means.

The day after Christmas wasn't much fun, and I have James L. Porter to blame. Before I talk about this racist degenerate, I have to give you a history lesson. I already realized that the builders of my grandfather's house used inferior products to build the house. My grandparents bought an insurance policy in '80 when they first moved in the house. Nothing happened to the house throughout the first decade and a half. A couple of years ago, we realized that the floors in the bathroom were slowly falling in. A few years ago, one of the floors partially fell in, and I nearly escaped falling in with it (just my right leg got caught). My family called Allstate, but they kept on giving my family the runaround. We also realized there wasn't a subfloor beneath the bathroom (just a couple of thin planks). A couple of family friends repaired the hole, but left most of the floor untouched. This past fall, back in November, my grandfather, who now suffers from Parkenson's disease, collapsed and fell against the wall in his bathroom. Some of the tiles fell down in there and there was a huge dent in the wall. The impact also caused the floor in that bathroom to start to collapse as well. We called Allstate, but they didn't come. Weeks later, we tried again, nothing. Another week later, we called, and we finally got something. Basically they said that they'd send an adjuster over to check the house a couple of weeks later, on the day after Christmas. Now, considering that was a workday for my mother (btw, I take care of my grandfather during the day), she had to miss some time from her job to talk to the adjuster. A couple of days before Christmas, it rained like crazy around these parts. The ground got saturated, and something went wrong with our pipes. Something caused the water from the toilets, the tub, and the washing machine to get backed up, and we didn't know what it was. Cue to December 26. James L. Porter came to our house a couple of hours earlier than he was scheduled to come. He was loud and brash towards my mother, and since I was still in my pajamas at the time, I didn't interfere in the middle of the conversation. Porter basically told my mother that she was so stupid calling them with damage that was so old (i.e. five years) that it wouldn't be covered, and that we should have called them earlier, like the moment it happened (which we did, but somehow, they never gotten the call). I did catch him grin at my mother's face as he left his card behind, basically telling her that the situation was going to be worse and it couldn't be covered. Oh, and he was going to send a couple of plumbers to further tell us that. My mother grew furious and very pessimistic, and decided to tell her bosses that she would come in today. Basically, my mother lost a couple of hours of wages to hear that there was nothing they could do. A couple of hours after my mother left for work, the plumbers finally came over and talked to me. Of course, they talked to me like I was a child and kept referring to me as "boy" the whole time they were talking to me (btw, I am a 24 year old man). They basically said, almost word for word, the same thing James L. Porter said, and talked to me in a very condesending way, even as I pointed them toward the gateway to the pipes. The plumbers called Porter on my home phone, who for some reason didn't have his cell phone on just moments after he left my house. By the time they got to the pipes, I noticed one of them smoking near the heating unit (which is gas-powered by the way, and running at the time), and threw the still-smoking fire in the grass. They basically said that there are some problems with the pipes and the water down there was high (it must not have been so high because they got in there and it didn't overflow outside). I asked if they could do something, and they didn't say a word, and left. No repairs. No return call. No updates nor anything that we could do. They just basically said it's going to get worse before it gets better, which sucks, but the fact that the people who were responsible for helping pay to repair them were saying that was, to say the least, disheartening.

Ms. Miranda has made outrageous claims about my role in a traffic accident, distorting the facts. She has ignored the police report, ignored what I have told her and the proof I have provided, unless she can twist it around to serve her position. First she said I made a u-turn and hit her client. When I was able to demonstrate that that was impossible in view of the final position of the vehicles, she claimed that, I was driving with my headlights off. When I told her my vehicle was a Lincoln Towncar and the headlights come on automatically, she said I was partially at fault because if I hadn’t veered to the left I “might” have broadsided Ms. Vicente. Allstate is making up history as they go along. They refuse to acknowledge the information in the police report and insist that I hit the other vehicle. I was on a through street with the right-of-way and Ms. Vicente came out of a side street and hit my car. I did everything in my power to avoid the accident Ms. Vicente was found to be a fault and was sited by the Fort Lauderdale Police for failure to yield the right-of-way. My estimated damages to date exceed $7,500.00 and Allstate Insurance has offered $3,810.10 in settlement, claiming comparative negligence. I was on a through street. I had the right-of-way. Ms. Vicente came out of a side street and hit me. She didn’t have the right-of way Ms. Vicente put the life of my son in jeopardy through her negligence. I did everything within my power to mitigate the accident. I am lucky not at fault. I still have my son. These claims adjusters are obviously following corporate policy in minimizing Allstate's exposure in every claim by trying to shift the burden onto other companies or individuals. I have an attorney who is preparing a lawsuit, and I'm going to sue the party who caused the accident and let Allstate defend her, but this shouldn’t necessary. True, there are some bad apples at Allstate. However, as someone who deals with every aspect of automobile claims for Allstate, I can honestly say that as bad as some people think Allstate is, it is still 1000x better than most of the other insurance companies out there (and there are 1 or 2 that are better). Most of these complaints seem to be from attorneys, who are the scum suckers who lap up the money from everyone, starting with the policy holders. The Allstate policy is pretty easy to read and understand (if you have any "learnin's"). Sometimes mistakes are made, and yes, a lot of that has to do with the company's management philosophies, such as too much workload per adjuster. However, most of the complaints I handle on a daily basis are from folks who have an overactive sense of entitlement and an underdeveloped sense of reality. Just because Allstate is a big company, that makes us an easy target for lawyers and customers who view us as a big bank, where the claimants can write their own checks and make their own unrealistic demands (from an objective point of view). There are no complaints posted here which could not just as easily be applied to Geico or Progressive (who will often leave their own paying customers on hold for weeks while they chase Allstate for money, regardless of the facts of a loss). Yeah, Liddy is an asshole, but no more so than the dozens of assholes that try to nickel and dime and make fraudulent claims to us on a daily basis. Allstate is a for profit company, not a welfare office. I believe that most of us do try to resolve all of our claims quickly and fairly, within the law and the conditions of the policy. We often give extra to folks when there is a grey area involved, or to assist in customer service. However, just because your vehicle is involved in an accident with an Allstate customer doesn't mean you are entitled to become a millionaire, you or your scumbag attorney. If that was the purpose of insurance, the law would deem it so (and remember, most of the human slime we call legislators are current or former scumsucking attorneys, so believe me, we don't get our way with the law). If you have your own insurance, and are involved in an accident with an Allstate insured, or anyone for that matter, let your company do what you're paying them for. They will come after us to recover your deductible. The beautiful thing about this country is that we can argue the veracity of police reports, often biased or completed by an officer who also didn't witness the loss (another statement backed up by law; police report narratives are not allowed in court). That's why we have due process, consumer rights, and God bless 'em, attorneys. Just remember, insure yourself, and make sure you sufficiently understand what coverages you have. Half of the drivers in Miami are uninsured, and you have to ask yourself, what would you do if one of them hit you? When people are claiming paralysis, broken air conditioners, radios, and transmissions from $300 rear end impacts, we do tell 'em to go fuck themselves, as anyone would. Consumer education is your best defense. Remember, the attorneys care about you even less than many of you perceive Allstate to. When there's no bodily injury insurance involved, (the bread and butter for the lawyers' mercedes payments) the attorneys will drop you like a booger. If there is bodily injury insurance, you are sent to a quack, give up 3 afternoons a week for God knows how long, only to end up pocketing what we would have offered you anyway without an attorney. The attorney and the quack take at least 66% between them, and the customer walks away with a few hundred bucks after umpteen unnecessary trips to a chiropractor for heating pad treatments. P.S. drive defensively-that's why we have comparative negligence laws; so you can't accelerate into that BMW with your shitbox hoping to hit it and cashing in instead of tapping your brakes and just as easily avoiding it when it makes a left turn in front of you. I've personally been working in the repair industry for six years now, and have always found the insurance adjusters to be at least informed & reasonable. But around September of 2001 Allstate hired a Pro coordinator for the Tucson area that really has no reason for being near a shop. He has been incompetent at best. He has asked that at the end of the month and up the dollars that Allstate has paid to us and then take a small percentage of that and cut a check to him "so that we can be put on the Pro Preferred list." sounded very fishy to us so we decided to not agree to the offer, even though we could have received "twice as much work" as we where already getting. He has also asked us to perform operations that are NOT I-Car Approved and that the Manufacture has plainly noted not to do. Mr. Collins has assured us that "Allstate will back the repairs 100%” that sounded like total Bull$#!%. We have been and are contemplating dropping Allstate completely due to these & other issues with Allstate and their Worst Adjuster Mr. Collins

I work for Allstate Ins. I work very hard to settle each claim as fair as possible. Tell me this- How many people lie about damages and thief claim. I catch 3 to 4 people a week trying to scan Allstate. Then when I look at the cost of my ins. each month that I pay in. It makes me sick be . We have Tow bills of thousands of dollars that should only be 150.00. Its is a hard job to talk to people who have had a lost of life or damage to car. Each state has an Ins board and if every who had a problem they should call and send in a complaint so that the state will change the INS. Co. NEXT TIME THING ABOUT WHAT YOU SAY EVERY ONE HAS A JOB TO DO AND IF WE WAS NOT HERE TO HELP THEN WHO WOULD BE THERE WHEN WE NEED US.

This woman contacted me and said that she was going to pay for the damages on my car. The person that "HIT ME", this is there insurance carrier. Keep in mind that her client was at fault. This person jumped out of the turning lane and hit me!I had the right-away! She asked for my statement and I gave it 2 her!Her client also made up a witness. (Her so called witness drove up after the accident happened!) Renea said that they were going to write a check for the damages to my car. But I never saw a dime. This woman gave me the wrong number so I had to look her up. Then she continued to tell lies. Then she said once again that she was going to send me a check. This time when she sent the check, she didn't even write it for half. Now I am without a car. I have to catch a ride to school. But she will wish that she would have sent the check instead of her company getting sued once again!! For I don't know how many times. She is truly a LIAR! What goes around comes around! Yes, Allstate Insurance does SUCK!

wouldn't say she really SUCKS - more like BLOWS... really has an attitude - like she's definitely smarter and/or more experienced than any claimant could ever possibly be - at any point in time... now or in the distant future. She attempted to assure me that I could go ahead and cash or deposit a check that was sent to me (for less than $100 which was supposed to reimburse me for towing). I was supposed to IGNORE the fact that the following statement was prominently displayed as the reason the check was written in the first place... (quoting) "FINAL SETTLEMENT OF ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM BODILY INJURY CAUSED BY ACCIDENT ON **/**/** (DATE). Now - is there anyone out there in the REAL world who would've gone ahead and processed this check??? Well CERTAINLY THERE IS! - But - not me.... now I get the feeling that she thinks that I might be some sort of difficult jerk. ( She said she certainly wouldn't have considered the claim closed... Not an insurance adjuster but in charge of claims. She was rude and mean. She told me that water gets into your engine when your just driving around. Lady I'm not stupid. She tried to tell me that I only had an inch of water in my car. When my boyfriend towed it out of the water it had at least a foot. There is rust all over the inside of my dash and my cruise control doesn't work but because she claims that there was only an inch of water in my car that my insurance wouldn't cover it. Allstate's PRO shop (Joke) Sharpe's Body in Pittsburg Kansas--- Mr. Mike Sands--wrote on my mechanics bill that he would garuntee any Flood related damage. I can't believe I paid for this kind of service. Almost ten years and not a claim. They just lost one hell of a customer.

I am a new Property Adjuster with Allstate. I have been a contractor specializing in insurance restoration. And I chose to work for Allstate because they were the best game in town. I have seen very good adjusters with every major carrier in the state, as well as some of the worst. It is not an easy job. There are idiots everywhere and Allstate has its share. I have my problems with the processes. But, I figure, if they don't like the way I adjust claims, they can fire me. I don't pay one penny more than I owe. My goal is to get our insured off my back. I wont just pay whatever you want. But, I also don't pay what Allstate wants me too either. I am not worried about pissing off an insured, or about pissing off my boss. All I want to do is sleep at night. I don't always give people what they want. But I try to give them what they deserve. I don't kiss up to Allstate's Best Practices. I could care less about my re-inspection numbers. But, I am also not afraid of telling an insured to pound sand if they are asking for more than what they are owed. Jim McConnell sexually harassed me. He had me meet him for lunch, wanted to play pool that evening at the bar, when I said no, he didn't return any of my phone calls for 4 days so I finally did go play pool with him, I needed the claim settled we had already paid the contractors out of our pockets. All of the adjusters listed above suck more than most Allstate adjusters. They don't return phone calls, the worst offender here being Pat Wilson. More often than not, his voicemail box is full, not even allowing you to leave a message, but he wouldn't answer it if you could. Pat Wilson, Mike Duchene and Steve Bell are the slowest to respond, and to pay what they owe, in the Detroit area at ANY insurance company. Jerry Nebus needs medication, he is so scattered it wouldn't surprise me if he forgot his own name. Tom Walthall has done so many unprescribed drugs that he's almost as bad as Jerry. On the other hand, I have to give props to a few GOOD Allstate adjusters in the Detroit area (there ARE a few). Lana Scott is a very cool lady, and in my experience, very fair and genuinely concerned for the insured party's situation. FYI to people with Allstate insurance in Metro Detroit, if you have a problem with your adjuster, you can call 800-488-5595 (Claims office) and ask for the supervisor of your adjuster. These supervisors almost always solve problems for the insured. Kurt Weyersberg is particularly good at this. Also, I have seen many postings for Eve Davis as the worst adjuster. She has her moments, but overall is pretty fair, often allowing write-offs and replacements other adjusters would reject. I do, however, find it highly amusing that she is absolutely TERRIFIED of cats. That's right, folks, cats. So if she gives you any crap, just sick puddy on her.

I find it very interesting that insureds continuously complain about how they have been cheated during the claim process and that somehow "Allstate makes up their own policy coverages." First of all, all insurance policy forms (ie: H03 (primary homeowner form) DP2 (dwelling fire form) etc are strictly regulated by the state in which they are written. Also, keep in mind that different states have different minimum coverage limits for auto policies. No insurance company "makes up coverages". Maybe everyone should take out their policy jackets and review coverages, exclusions etc and make some educated changes to their policies. I am proud to say that I am a support staff person for 10 years for a very good agent. I advise all my new and old customers to take the time to read the literature and any questions or concerns they have, they can ask me. I don't want my customers to feel betrayed by my agency because they didn't understand their policy. Just some good common sense.

Your 3 year old daughter has a fractured skull, deep head wounds, your wife has a broken nose, and all you did was take your family out to dinner and you happened to be behind the wheel of your mothers car. Allstste figures that is grounds to call your job, speak to your supervisor(the day after the accident no less)and then call you and say they are requesting a formal investigation. She is the stupidest person I've ever talked to. On the very few occasions she did return my call, or respond to my certified letters, her answer was always, "I just have no file material on your daughter." I would fax all medical records and ask "Well, it's been 2 1/2 years, where did all the records go?" Never a straight answer. It was always MY fault they wouldn't pay a 4 year-old child's medical bills due to a fractured skull because they "NEEDED MORE FILE MATERIAL". But mysteriously enough she could never tell me where the records went. She, by the way, was our 4th adjustor. I've had medical providors on my ass forever, a daughter who has had 4 MRI's, 2 Ct Scans, several sessions of therapy, an EEG, 3 rounds of blood work, and now a Neuro-Psychological Evaluation all by the ripe old age of 6. And what my health insurance doesn't cover I have to scrape to pay cause they have no file material. Wishful thinking to think they'd actually pay something...never mind the $150.00 I've spent copying and faxing the "file material" thinking if they got it right away they just might make a payment and keep the hospital off my back. They told me too in the beginning they would be fair and to at least try to work with them before hiring a lawyer. They'd pay all medical, medical mileage, reimburse for medicine, etc. Now even with a detailed doctor's letter and all other supporting evidence will they pay the claim. Now the only thing left for me to do is try to hire an attorney and sue the shady bastards. And for all of you who like to leave nasty comments referring to us as con-artists I would like to see you deal with a small child who had a life threatning injury and have to sit back and hear lie after lie, taking Allstste at their word. You are as bad as all of them!

First of all, she never returns phone calls, and when I try to contact her because my daughter's medical providors are threatning me with collection action her line is ALWAYS either, "I haven't had time to look at the file" or "We need medical records to pay this." B*ll*h$t!! This was a head on collision back on 1-17-99, the other driver's fault, and my 3 year old daughter suffered a fractured skull and closed head injury. I only recently fought hard enough to get the ambulance bill paid!!! I have paid for medical records 4 times, have faxed them to each adjustor (we've had 5 others so far) at least 7 times, and if I call and try to demand an answer, God forbid a payment, either I cannot get a word in the whole conversation, or I'm told "She is your daughter, paying her bills is your job!" Forget about the high price we all pay to keep the insurance and a payment that is a few days late will cause you to be cancelled! My husband actually called her and got into a screaming match because she had the gall to say our daughter wasn't even injured in the accident. Here is a 3 year old toddler with her skull bashed in!! The fight is not over. The only thing I have on my side is the fact that she is a minor so the statute of limitations isn't until her 19th B-Day. I have hired an attorney and he hates Allstate as much as all of us!!!

On January 2, 2002 my wife was involved in a traffic accident where a gentleman ran into the rear of our 1996 Chevy Tahoe. Now the fun begins, after receiving a copy of the Police report, we contact Allstate. The agent, set up an appointment with their adjuster for 9:00 am on January 14, 2002. Prior to this appointment, I decided that it would be in my best interest to get an estimate at a local body shop (one that has been serving the area for over 60 years). This estimate was for the replacement of a rear bumper, along with repairing/ painting lower quarter panel. Total was $911.05. I proceed to the Allstate adjusters office, where I meet "Satan". Of course she was nice to start with, but it didn't take long before the horns started to come through her head. She proceeds to write an estimate. At completion she says, "Ok let me explain this to you. All estimates are written with remanufactured parts" I quickly told her that I did not want any remanufactured parts to be used. She responds, "don't start, I'm not in the mood for it today", now keep in mind that this is the first time that I have ever met this woman, and after less than 10 minutes she is snapping my head off. She continues to show me her estimate, which comes to a grand total of $415.23. I then show her the estimate that I had gotten from the local body shop. She glances over it and tells me that if it was any more than the $415.23 a supplement could be written to the body shop. I explained to her that if indeed the body shop could have repaired it for that, that is the amount their estimate would be for. She then told me that I could talk to her supervisor, and gave me his phone #. I ask her if I could use the phone in the waiting room and she told me "NO". I then went out to my truck and got my cell phone and contacted her supervisor, and of course he must have trained this woman, because he stuck by her side. I tried calling several different Allstate representatives, with no success. They knew there was nothing I could do. After my blood pressure had reached its limit, I gave in, and had to accept a check for less than half the damages to my vehicle, not to mention, no compensation for my time away from work, mileage, and aggravation through this ordeal. I must also mention that my father has been in the paint and body business for 40 years, and my brother for 15, and they told me that Allstate is by far the worst insurance to deal with. If they would write a proper estimate from the beginning, rather than trying to screw people over, they wouldn't have near the complaints. I am ashamed to have to write this, however I feel as though they have ripped me a new one.

Well so much for peace on earth good will toward men,......Happy Holidays and what a new year too look forward too. On Nov. 29th our house suffered a fire, my husband narrowly escaped, my house is ruined and mr. williams was my adjuster. On his visit out there he told my husband we were real close to our coverage limitations for structural, and we are over in personal contents,, thats our fault, but as honest hard working people, my husband and i are being a victim of being two small fish in an ocean of sharks! on mr. williams visit again he stated that we were real close if not at our limit without going into our 20% coverage for emergancy use which was 42,000+8,000=50,000. he said he could get ALLSTATES contractors to do the repairs, fair enough? ok all they're work is covered, right? to make a long story short, he claims that the structure that is now unstable, was not due to the fire....BS! so 50,000 grand in repairs ok, covered, sure but without fixing the foundation, would anyone in their right mind put that much into a home that may at sometime cave in???? keep in mind if the are not claiming the foudation and all the walls come in, floors drop, it would be due to preexsisting conditions.....thus shit out of luck, so i tell the good man, ok, we'll get our own contractors,,,,,,,well now he needs to readjust the figures......as of yesterday now my settlement would be 27,039.36! Go figure, he then says well i was wrong. This is how you treat your loyal customers??? by the way any further discussion will have to wait til after the new years, hes on vacation..... MUST BE NICE! my life is uprooted, all my belongings are gone, I have nothing and now I'm spit on......It will indeed be a new year,.......but know this allstate, i trusted your good hands and you will, as a moral company do what is fair thru court or on your judgement day,i understand trying to save your company money , all i ask is for what is fair, is that not in your ethics? maybe the media would like to hear this story as in depth, it gets very interesting and then the truth of your good hands will show how it is more like a slap in the face, or stab in the back in my case, yes it is the holidays ....MR williams, and i hope you are resting well with your decision.

I just had a go around with Allsnake. I had a roof leak on my home from some storms back in Sept. I made the claim Sept 11. A adjustor sent out a contractor to check the house and said nothing was wrong. The leak was still there so I found a repairman and had the leak fixed myself out of my own pocket. Then our wonderful state (Oklahoma) Insurance Commissioner decided to let a few insurance companies (including Allsnake) raise the rate of their home insurance so I went hunting for another insurance company (if Allsnake was going to raise their rates and not fix anything they were useless anyway). So I went over to Liberty Mutual as I would be paying the same amount as the Allsnake policy. When I received a contract from them (LM) listed was a claim I had made from Allsnake. The claim date 9-11-01, repaired 9-14-01, charge $241. What the Fuck! No repair had been done! A claim should not even had been listed! No money should have switched hands! I still repaired the leak myself! Fuck Allstate! Fuck Allstate! Fuck Allstate!!!!!!! I hope they go out of business and all of their employees get laid off right after XMAS!!!!!!!!

Well, she not only never made me a decent offer, but after I refused the first offer she lowered it to to a ridiculous amount that would not even cover my medical bills. I then took the insured to small claims, where I was awarded a decent offer. She is now appealing this case, which is a very small case to begin with. She is rude and mean, and I hope that one day she will get what she deserves. Paul had denied my claim based on some concept he called "comperative negligence". This is the first time I have ever heard this term and after his failure to fully explain it to me, he went on and only paid me 50%. His insured ran a red light, but since there was no witnesses and his insured's story was that I ran a red light, he said that in "green light/red light disputes" he can only pay 50-50. He said I was a liar and If I realy wanted to I could go through my own insurance carrier. I told him that I was uninsured at the time and he said he would send me a BILL for 50% of the damages!!! I tried to reason with him and his manager, but they told me that I violated the law by driving without insurance and that I was not entitled to recover for my bodily injury as well. I tried to take this to the lawers but they won't fight Allstate. Help!

This man is a major consumer rip-off artist. His main focus appears to be to frustrate and defeat lawful good-faith claims. He "low balls" claimants and presents "take it or leave it" unrealistic offers. The poor claimants then have the option of getting "screwed" or having to try to find an attorney to hire to pursue a claim that had low value in the first place. Sometimes this is extremely difficult. Angelo Vargas gets my vote as the worst adjuster that I have encountered.

Most of the claims I have read on this page are common frustrations people have when dealing with a claims department. Many people need to realize that insurance adjusters do not represent the insured, but the insurance company. I have worked as a public adjuster (an adjuster that is hired by and represents the insured) for 10 years. I have handled claims with ever insurer in the state of Ohio. One of the industries biggest pitfalls is the use of INDEPENDENT ADJUSTERS. These are adjusters that are not employed by your insurance company, but brought in as a sub-contractor. As a sub-contractor they are not concerned with brand image or answering to the agent or sales department. Their biggest concern is reducing the claim as much as possible. By reducing the claim it increases the chance that the company will hire them again. Allstate will occasionally use these INDEPENDENT ADJUSTERS in times when their in house claims staff is not able to get to that particular claim. What is even more troubling is that there are some companies out there that use INDEPENDENT ADJUSTERS exclusively…yikes!!!

As another side note, many other companies have penalties for not carrying enough insurance or because your contents are too old!!!! The Allstate homeowner policy is one of the few with no penalties making it the most sound in the industry. Here’s a scary thought, with all of the trouble people have with Allstate just image if their policy had the same pitfalls built in that other companies have. Keep in mind there is no non-profit insurance company ready to insure you.

It has been my experience that any company you have, you will have to fight for every nickel your entitled to. You just want to make sure that the policy you have is sound, that is where you will find your “leg to stand on” when your arguing your claim.

I hate to say it but, I insure my home with Allstate’s Deluxe Plus Homeowner policy, but I’m prepared to argue my claim! Are you?

because he said that they could patch my roof up and if i use allstate contractor they`d give a 3 year warranty on my 2 year old home with a 30 year mortage, he said don`t worry about the mold they can paint over it with keltz paint and you will not be able to tell it is there, he also said he has not heard of any problems with mold in homes, and that this should not be a concern for myself or my 3 month old boy, 1 and 1/2 year old girl, and that even though the contractor said the house was unstable and we should not live in it. He said he didn`t see no reason why we can`t stay there and there was no need for us to get an apartment while they repaired the walls and paint the mold with two coats of any color paint i wanted the entire house would be repainted with two coats. But then he said he is no contractor and if the house did fall i only had limited coverage if any one got hurt and said i should have medical insurance in case some-thing would happen that allsate would not be responsible for anybody hurt. He is an ass and it took alot not to hit him, the next time i see him though he will get hit. v

My adult daughter[thirty something] was involved in an auto accident with a person who had liability coverage with Allstate. Allstate's driver made a left turn, suddenly and without warning, into the path of my daughter's vehicle. The question of fault or liability was never an issue. Allstate acknowledged liability, on the part of their driver, and determined there was no contributory negligence on the part of my daughter. Unfortunately my daughter sustained serious injuries in the accident [knee cap broken in two places, compound fracture of the lower leg and her foot was torn loose and reattached during surgery] I, having knowledge of insurance policies, insurance law and tort law, asked my daughter to allow me to monitor her telephone conversations with the Allstate adjuster and she was more than happy to do so. The adjuster, thinking he was talking to a young woman with no legal or insurance experience, attempted to pull every dirty trick in the book. Lies, delays, false information,etc. All the crap other people have written to this web site and some not mentioned. After almost a year of letter writing, telephone fighting and threats of litigation we were finally able to settle this case for Allstate's policy limit [which was considerably more than the minimum state required limit] Any court judgement, in this case, would have been fruitless as the insured driver was without many assets and was, for all practical purposes, judgement proof. Then, in Texas, we have the uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage which we also settled successfully, but that's another entire story altogether. In my opinion, anyone having a claim with this company should seek the advice of an attorney. They are under investigation by the attorneys general of nine states for improperly handling both first and third party claims. I have never been so upset and felt so powerless in my life. Not only has this so called human being HUNG up on me, he has NOT returned the many phone calls that I have left him. He keeps me in the dark about everything. I hate not knowing whats going on. The one time I did talk to this so called man he told me that hes not sure if they are accepting liabilty for the accident that their client did after hitting us from the back end. He wrote to me a letter that said he has heard another side of what had happened. I have the police report on what happened. It clearly says his client is at fault. Thinks that it is OK to underwrite the policy after the loss. Demands an examination under oath of the policyholder for an accidental claim that is subrogated to another company.

Advises she is a "Christian" yet she makes unreasonable demands of the policyholder like, I still need more information but I will get it in an EUO rather than take the time to actually write a letter and ask the questions. Refuses to meet with the policyholder to discuss the claim. Refuses to provide necessary advances on accidential claims. Doesn't understand the appraisal process. This adjuster is more faithful to Allstate than her own religion. Perhaps her religion is Allstate???

Cannot comprehend that replacement cost is not what the policyholder paid for an item, but todays cost.

Thinks that personal property after a loss belongs to her and should be removed offsite at her discretion without paying for it first!

Thinks smoke isn't a covered peril. Thinks its OK if mildew is making the policyholder ill. Believes that it is OK to spray personal property full of combustible chemicals and then return to the policyholder stating "these are all clean now."

Thinks insulation can be removed from upholstered furniture. Thinks smoke can just be deoderized out of clothing and upholstered furniture.

Refuses to show any sign of good faith by refusing to pay undisputed funds prior to appraisal.

Can't prepare a proper inventory of personal property if her life depended on it.

Can't understand the English language. Has little to no knowledge of grammer, writes letters in all capitals or in 8pt font so you can't read it. Then faxes 8pt font to you and expects you to decipher it.

On a postive note, she is the perfect Allstate Adjuster cause she doesn't know what the hell she is doing. Allstate really likes that in their adjusters. It is a qualification for placement. Incompetency runs rampant!!!!

I hope you mail these responses to those idiots!!! Like on a Friday afternoon just before close. Really screws up their weekend!!!

Used every excuse he could think of to deny our claim. When he would stae one thing and we could prove him wrong he just switched to another excuse, from you never had your car tuned to you got bad gas to you don't drive the van enough and should have those plugs for people who don't drive long distances put in. He sent us a check for "goodwill" but put on the actual check that it was the claim payment, when he outright refused the claim.

Hit by another driver I was a passenger!- had broken C2 in neck, sterum, compressed 4-5-6 vertebrae- and broken leg.

Would not return calls-hired an attorney still would not return calls. My uninsured policy adjuster would not settle on my claim-the drivers adjustor wanted to settle but my insurance adjuster would not settle even after 7 months. My mother was stuck by a car that was being driven by an Allstate insured. She was a pedestrian pulled over on the side of the road. Their insured, not paying attention to his driving duties, hit my mother and killed her. The Claim was reported to Allstate March of 2000. May of 2000, we still hadn't heard anything from Allstate. I finally called them and asked why we were not sent a letter notifying us the claim was being processed. Sarah Dang informed me it was an oversight and a letter would be sent out immediately. We did receive a letter; however, it was several months and several phone calls not being returned before I heard from them again. To make a long story short, I finally talked to Sarah Dang's Supervisor Rob Frick. He informed me that " my mother was in the middle of the road and your claim is being denied." He lack of compassion and professionalism still stunes me to this day. How dare you treat my mother like she is just a bunch paper in a file. All of the police reports and witness statements stated that the driver swerved toward my mother and that her car was 12 inches off the side of the road. Needless to say, we hired an attorney. I am proud to say that 1 year and 1 month after she was killed. Allstate was found liable. They had to pay the claim. Unfortunately, we now had 34% of the settlement taken by our attorney, but it was worth it to get justice. How do you people sleep at night?

Mr. Timothy Hayes who visits North Mississippi and surrounding areas, is not an honest or caring man. Four months have come and gone and we have not even received a telephone call from this man. It took him two months to just cut my family and I a $600.00 check for underwear, clothes, food, etc. How wonderful of him to do such a random act of kindness for us. Our home burned down, Mr. Hayes shows up five days later. He did not show us one ounce of pitty or concern. He is a cold and ruthless, calculating and dishonest Allstate Adjuster. He should adjust his brain and his heart because he "will" be answering to a judge in the court of law in this sad case. It has been almost a year since we turned in our contents list and we have not gotten our check yet. Is this what we paid premiums for 10 years for? First, this website is wonderful! I loved reading the other complaints and realizing other people besides me are getting sandbagged by this company. They make you think YOU are the one with the problem.

This WONG person is the most inept, personality-lacking woman (girl) I have spoken to on the phone. She would NOT admit ANY fault and suddenly HER insurer has a new story! This entire experience has been incredibly unbelievable. I cannot believe how some people operate in their everyday lives.

Employees like those in the Dublin office make me lose faith in people. How sad.

Encourage anyone you know to drop ALLSTATE. I am!

There is a village missing their idiot, because that idiot (Nick Delgrozzo) was just dumb enough to get hired by Allstate as an adjuster.

Nick Delgrozzo handled a claim in which his insured, Ian Watteau, was in the left lane, and began to change lanes into the right lane. Unfortunately, there was a car in the right lane, and though there was no impact between the two vehicles, the vehicle that Ian Watteau forced off the road flipped and caused serious injuries to several people. This "sorry excuse for an asshole" Nick Delgrozzo was the adjuster for Allstate, who proceeded to accept only 30% liability, and made several attempts to justify this. First, he tried to explain that the other driver was driving in Ian Watteau's blind spot. When asked for the law he is talking about, he would not ever say which law that it was, only that the Allstate lawyers have said that it's illegal to drive in someone's blind spot. What a crock of shit. Next, Nick tried to assert the fact that the car that was forced off the road was speeding. How did he come up with this, since the police report states the vehicle was going the speed limit? Simple, because Ian Watteau said the car must have been speeding. Nick Delgrozzo's imbecile-like brain has now been revealed, since Ian Watteau never saw the other vehicle as he forced her off the road - there would have been no way he could have known how fast she was going. But Nick doesn't care about this. Nick is too busy trying to screw more people.

These adjusters need to be publicized because what they do is illegal, morally wrong...I just hope he gets in an accident and he gets an adjuster like himself to screw him like he screws everyone.

DEVIL'S ADVODATES...IT'S THE SAME STORY I HAVE READ OVER AND OVER AGAIN AT THIS SITE. SHE WAS SO KIND, UNDERSTANDING AND REASSURING....AT FIRST.

THEN SHE QUIT RETURNING CALLS, SHOWED HER TRUE COLORS, GOT RUDE, HANDED MY CLAIM FOR WHICH HER INSURED CAUSED (HEAD ON COLLISION) AND THEN I GOT NICK DELGRASSO ( THE BAD GUY) WHO WAS THE MOST RUDE, WHINY, LYING, CON-ARTIST I HAVE ENCOUNTERED.

HE EVEN BLAMED HIS OWN CO-WORKER RUE RAMSEY FOR NOT DOING HER JOB AND GIVING HIM AN IMCOMPLETE FILE. WHAT A WIMP.

NICK DIDN'T HAVE A POLICE REPORT UNTIL YESTERDAY AND THE INSURED PARTY DID NOT CALL UNTIL YESTERDAY AND LEFT A VOICE MAIL STATEMENT HE BLACKED OUT! YEAH RIGHT!....... HE DOESN'T RECALL WHAT HAPPENED. TOOK HIM LONG ENOUGH TO RECALL THAT....I SOMEHOW FIND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE.

HE WAS ALERT ENOUGH TO CALL HIS MOM,(A 27 YEAR OLD) FROM THE SCENE AND TO CUSS ME OUT FOR NOT HONKING!

WITNESSES TOLD ME SHE WAS ADVISING HIM TO LEAVE THE SCENE...

INSTEAD HE MOVES HIS VEHICLE FROM THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT BECAUSE HE HEARD THE SIRENS COMING FROM THE FIRE TRUCK AMBULANCE AND POLICE. PROBABLY KNEW HE COULDN'T OUTRUN THE LAW.

NICK DELGRASSP OKAYS MY REPAIRS AFTER 3 WEEKS SENDS A CHECK AND THEN REFUSES TO PAY THE BALANCE OF $2,000. NOW HE SAYS THE FIRST CHECK NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN ISSUED...IS THAT LEGAL?

I AM NOW STUCK WITH $3,000 BILL FOR RENTAL CAR THAT RUE RAMSEY SYMPATHETICLY ASSURED WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF AS SOON AS THEY GOT A STATEMENT FROM THEIR INSURED PARTY. ALONG WITH A $9,000 REPAIR BILL AND MY MEDICAL BILLS WHICH SHE TOLD ME TO KEEP MY CLAIM OPEN FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, BLAH BLAH BLAH, I FELL FOR HER DECEPTION HOOK LINE AND SINKER.

I AM FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE STATE INSURANCE COMMISSIONER AND HIRED A LAWYER AND NOW MY INSURANCE COMPANY IS PAYING TO GET MY VAN BACK AND I AM PAYING MY DEDUCTIBLE, FOR SOMETHING I WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR TO BEGIN WITH!

REMEMBER THIS.... HE BLACKED OUT.... THEREFORE, HE WASN'T LIABLE FOR THE ACCIDENT,......ALLSTATE WON'T ACCEPT LIABILITY. WHAT A CROCK!

THIS IS A WONDERFUL COMPANY...ALL you ALLSTATE people, switch to ACADIA..  it's worth the few $ more!! Talk about SERVICE!! I lost my home to FIRE, EVERYTHING....The Acadia Adjuster was ALWAYS there, I was a queen. He offered money whenever we needed for whatever we needed, never once a question or a problem. I would ask, he would have the check written within 15 minutes and waiting at the front desk for me. It took us 6 months to complete our "LIST" It took Acadia less then 1 month to settle FULL value, no squawking, so problems, no hassle, FULL VALUE, they wrote a check. THANK YOU FOR WHAT AN INSURANCE COMPANY SHOULD BE! ALL....SWITCH TO ACADIA INSURANCE IN MAINE!!!! WORTH THE TRIP!! Nothing is more devastating then a fire and losing EVERYTHING. Then to have an asshole adjuster is the icing. ACADIA, NEVER NEVER NEVER once questioned or made me feel out of place or made me feel like I owed them anything. They owed me and they knew it. the average person doesn't know squat about insurance/insurance law. they don't really dislike the adjuster, they just dislike the fact that they may not get the 6 figure settlement they wrongfully feel they deserve, or that their tv attorney tells them he can obtain for them.

Editors Note:  Navan, you are right.  Most people don’t know insurance law.  Allstate uses this fact to write insurance policy’s that the average person cannot understand.  Then they use every trick in the book to abuse its policyholders by chiseling or denying a claim.  Maybe the policy should have a disclaimer written where the policyholder signs stating:

 “This policy was written by Allstate’s legal department.  Beware, have your attorney read this before you sign.  You may not be getting the coverage you think you are paying for.”

Stan Eisen is a little tiny weasel of a man working for a big giant weasel of a corporation, ran by a two faced lying weasel Ed Liddy.

My sink had a busted water pipe. It flooded my liv, din, den, kit, laundry rm. While addressing the water damage they found Stachybotrys (black mold) under the sink and in a wall. 3 Months later I still have no carpets, no kitchen cabinets, but plenty of black mold that has been spread by Allstate's fans throughout my home. In search of a good lawyer to assist me in stomping out weasels.

You know we really should be realistic about this.  These poor pathetic bastards are just trying to make a living.  If there is ever another Holocaust these people will be right there to give a hand.  After all weren't Hitler's henchmen just doing their job ! I'm sure Allstate's adjusters would have no remorse what so ever shooting a poor helpless baby in the back of the head. Hey, it's just a job ! I also truly believe they will enjoy Hell ! They certainly love to make our lives a living Hell.  I wish them all the best in death.

As a foot note.  Don't you people out there agree that it is a privilege and down right enjoyable to have your back split wide open or your abdominal cavity split open.  I like to fake these injuries because it is the only enjoyment I get out of life.  You really have to give credit to the adjusters because for them to be able determine that all injuries are faked is just an incredible gift from God.

These people make the world a brighter place to live and I just want thank them for my pain and suffering.  You have every right to pat yourself on the back while insulting these poor people.  Of course there are some frivolous claims and that surly gives you the right to consider all claims to be frivolous as well.  I am very concerned for you fine people though.  There seems to be a place called Hell and you are most certainly destined to end up there sooner or later.  Probably sooner than later.

Life is funny you know.  The odds are against most Allstate adjusters working there for the duration of there life.  There is very little doubt that some of these ex Allstate adjusters will at some time in the future be involved in a collision with a Allstate insured.  I just prey to god that none of your children or any other loved ones for that matter are severely injured.  As god is my witness, you will regret the day that you put so many people thru Hell for the soul reason of making a few dollars while helping Allstate make their Billions ! I sincerely prey that God will have mercy on your soul ! I don't think you people will like it in Hell !

What do you get when you cross a parrot with an anal retentive. An Allstate adjuster. And their poster boy is James Bebar. Spent most of numerous conversations over 6 months listening to him spew company line that, although it touched his soul deeply, they were declining payment for the bulk of medical bills and loss of income I realized after one of their policy holders tagged my car. He initially refused to accept any estimates for damage—he was my estimator! He wanted room sizes and damage description but could never be pinned down to an amount—he would figure it out and I would get a check. When finally pushed he came out and inspected the damage his estimate fell short by of the lowest of the estimates by $800.00. When I figured out the interior damage and some exterior damage I figured out that not only was I shorted on the actual repairs but my deductible worked out to about $650 instead of $250. The man uses a computer program to estimate the damage. His documentation of the damage was lousy (he didn't even take his own notes, someone did it for him). He took a few pictures of the damage with a standard 35mm camera, he did not document what exposures were the ones he used on my house. After I pointed out that his estimate was significantly lower than any of the contractors' estimates, he said to have the contractor that was going to do the work call him. He has the mistaken notion that the contractor has to agree to his price.

Totally unresponsive!! I would leave her a message sometime (anytime) during the day and would have to continue to call her throughout the day to hopefully "catch" her answering her phone. When she does answer her phone, she would always give me the same response, "oh, I haven't checked my voice mail today", this would be at the end of the day! So when does she check her voice mail??? Unfortunately, the person who hit my car is insured with Allstate. They wanted to replace the damaged parts to my SUV with used parts, telling me it was insurance standard. After making my way 'to the top' of the chain, I was approved for new parts. Of course they told me that it could be argued that they are making my SUV 'better' then the original condition! The nerve! I don't recall asking to be put in this situation to begin with. Then trying to get a decent rental car from them, having them tell me I should be grateful to have transportation ( in a Geo Metro or Dodge Neon) to drive my two young children back and forth to daycare in Downtown Houston. I absolutely refused their generous offer of the Geo Metro and demanded a bigger car (which I eventually got, once again having to make my way 'to the top'). I was told by Nita Craft that it was not her job to make my life comfortable while my SUV is being repaired! What attitude indeed, I would NEVER considering using Allstate as my insurance carrier!!

Allstate Insured at fault----car estimated at the local dealer. Car was moved to Allstate's "Adjuster Location" where they are able to tell me it is totaled--her ability to use the NADA book wholesale pricing vs my ability to use Kelly's Blue Book retail pricing left a difference of 60%. Unacceptable, see ya in court.

She refused to allow a claim on one of her clients in a rear end "contributory negligent" case that under Texas Law for Tort Negligence is clearly on her client. The reason was "she assisted her client in "a ghost vehicle crashed into her vehicle the was the root cause of the accident" thereby her ruling that Allstate as a carrier on the policy wasn't responsible, only God was.

This adjusters client pulled out in front of traffic and got smashed by the lady in front of me. The lady in front of me got out of her car since it was smoking (she thought it was on fire). She almost stumbled into oncoming traffic because she was still dazed by the accident. Anyway, she didn't put her car in park before she got out and it rolled back into my 2001 Explorer. Jornette determined that there were actually two accidents and would not pay for damage done to my truck because the lady in front of me was at fault for not setting her parking brake. It is my contention that if her client would never have pulled out into oncoming traffic this would have never happened so it was obviously her fault. Jornette disagrees and said that I should contact the other lady's insurance company. I asked to speak to her manager and she put me on hold. She picked the phone back up to tell me that he is not around right now. She acted like she did not want to give me his name when I asked (Duane Crupper (703) 393-4654) and he has never returned my call. This company blows!!!!

I was involved in an accident where the person rear ended me in the back and after I had reported it to the 24 hr line about my accident I got a call from one of the claim adjusters and she was the most bloody, unhelpful person I've ever spoken to. She advised me to have the liable persons insurance to help me and said if I were to choose all state as my adjuster that it would go on my report even though I'm not at fault and the check I would get to pay for my damages will take a long time. what ever happened to "all state you're in good hands" to top it off she asked me why I would pick all state as my adjuster duh! what a stupid question. hm I'm paying for my premiums each month so I should be in good hands or should I say they want their pockets in good hands...

As all Allstate adjusters are, he is a big liar. He professed to me that I didn't need an attorney that he was there to help me out. "I was in good hands". He never returns phone calls, and every week says the all time favorite lie, "we will get you taken care of by next week, you are in good hands." I am taking law classes at my local collage and they denied my claim. I had my house broke into and the typical items stolen from me, some jewelry, t.v. vcr combo, Nintendo, hunting gear, camcorder, hunting gear, basically all of the typical stuff. This claim could have been settled when it first started for somewhere between eight and twelve thousand dollars pretty easy and now I am filling a law suit. They had enough balls to try and intimidate me by accusing me of participating in some way of the robbery at my house. I was at a family reunion when I got the phone call to head home. I am very excited to get into court and I am actually looking forward to it. I know that they have no proof of what they claim. They use it as a deterant for people to discourage them from proceeding in the claim or a law suit and I guess it might work for insurance fraud. However, I had nothing to do with the burglary, and had I known that it was going to take place, don't you think that I would have been home in the dark with a couple of loaded guns? The other thing that puzzles me is that if I were trying to commit fraud, wouldn't it be a lot closer to the total that I am insured for? Why would someone commit fraud and claim basically 1/10 of the value that they could get. I saw a video on Allstate by K5 news. Allstate looks at it as intimidate that client because it is fairly low cost. That client can't afford a lawsuit or would rather replace it out of their own pocket than spend the time and money on an attorney. That is for Allstate to gain entirely. They intimidate and lie to their clients and the clients don't make them pay. I got some news for them. I am innocent and I have promised myself that I will come up with the money to make them uphold their end of the bargain. I have a hard time controlling my anger when I think of the way that they have treated me. They have basically treated me, a young college law student, like a dumb fraudulent and gullible piece of shit. I am also trying to finish setting up an interview with a news broadcasting station to start spreading my story. I realized that Allstate also has lead me to give answers to their questions so that it sounds accurate and it is, but it is to their advantage the way they lead you to answer those questions.

He would never return my girlfriend's calls, ever! After 2 months of waiting around, he finally accepted 90% fault for the accident his insured caused. My girlfriend was directed to go to his repair facility to get an estimate, and then asked to fill out a form, a statement about the accident. My girlfriend still had not received a check! Only after 10 phone calls, even some calls to the Regional office, when I found out that he as lying to my girlfriend the whole time, and is now trying to collect from her for 100%. He lied to my girlfriend, tricked her into helping him by cooperation, and then suddenly "changed his mind". What a lying sack of sh*t.

I was unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident where both myself and the lady who hit me had Allstate insurance. (please note, I HAD Allstate insurance.) In two weeks time, they hummmed and hawed with their thumbs up their butts, yes its totaled, no its not, yes it is, "I can only give you XXXX amount of money for that car-when I owed three-thousand more than the offer, and ran me through ten different adjusters. I quit keeping up with names at asshole number five, who told me there was no way they would repair my car, but he was not authorized to total it!  Bitch number ten tried to blow off my complaints about this phenomena by telling me when there's a personal injury and property damage involved there are two separate adjusters. I replied," I am not an idiot, you are the tenth bitch I have been put in touch with...since when did the American public count one, two,...TEN?" I added that while she may in fact represent the person who hit me (since that was the policy responsible for the accident) that I was also a paying customer of Allstate and that I do not like the way they do business in representing their insureds. I have since then fired them as my insurance company... and do not regret it. So long, assholes!!!

I met with Mr. Wooten and a mediator assigned by the Florida Insurance Commissioner’s office to try to settle a claim. After we each explained our positions, the mediator met separately with Mr. Wooten, ostensibly to arrive at some settlement. After that meeting, the mediator called me in privately and said, “I don’t know what you did to get under his skin, but he just won’t budge.” What I did was complain to his supervisors when he took off on two weeks vacation while my mediation request was pending and didn’t bother to have anyone follow-up on it. I guess he took some flak from his supervisor(s) and decided to play “hardball” with me, with an arbitrary and inflexible attitude that even the independent mediator noticed. Well, Mr. Wooten, now everyone on the Internet knows what a petty individual you are.

I am a collision repair shop owner, from this side of the fence I would agree with the majority on this website.

Allstate insurance co. I call them Allstate no pay insurance co,! Is the only insurance company that will not pay.

#1. Hazard's waste disposal charges for highly dangerous chemicals that we have to dispose of during & after repairs

#2. The correct price per our for paint & materials used to repair the vehicle

#3. M.F.L.P. manufactures list price on parts.. We get a discount a discount off of that list price depending on the volume of parts ordered through the year. Allstate no pay wants my discount. That is one of the few areas That a collision repair shop makes money after the huge over head. & high cost of keeping up with the latest technologies in equipment & training.

#4. They will not pay what it cost to put your vehicle back to pre- accident condition without one hell of a fight.

#5. Will pay for an inferior part that will not fit your vehicle at a fraction of the cost of the O.E.M (Original equipment) & really not care that it does not fit your vehicle at all.

#6. will not meet the shops labor rates on a consistent basis.

REMEMBER TO THEM IT'S ALL ABOUT CUTTING COST.

They could care less what kind of repair your end up with on your car or tuck. they never inspect a vehicle after repairs to see what kind of job their insured or claimant is getting.

In Auto Insurance... Medical Payments coverage is generally a no-fault coverage. It is considered a no-fault coverage because this coverage generally pays out without regard to who is at fault in an auto accident... The certifiable genius that is Gary Jensen would have you believe that medical payments is a coverage that only pays an insured if that insured is at fault in an auto accident.

When queried as to what Bodily Injury coverage is for...Mr Jensen replied.. "When you stub your toe on the gas pedal"

I was involved in an auto accident with Mr. Michael Ullery who is insured with Allstate. The accident was 100% his fault. I called the accident report into his agent who after hearing from his client turned it into the claims office. Shirley Maloney was assigned to this case. Over a course of 3 days, I called 6 times and the car rental agency called 3 times. That is 9 calls made to her. Each call went to her voice mail. She did not return one phone call to anyone. NOT ONE!!!! When I did chance upon the one time I did talk to (and that is because I called her!) I wanted to give her a statement right then and there but she wouldn't take it. Then I tried at least to give her the police report number and she wouldn't take that either. Finally I gave her the number anyway. Whether she wrote it down or not I don't know. Finally since she never returned any phone calls I did get through to her manager and complained to him. He said he would have a "talk" with her! But that still didn't help me!!!! Plus when you call her voice mail, her outgoing message makes one think that she absolutely hates her job. I don't expect her to be a chipper little Katie Couric but I do expect some professionalism. The last statement in her message says "Complete customer satisfaction is our goal" That is a line of bull - what they should say is, "If you are not our customer you're screwed!!!!"

The reason why this adjuster sucks is because she is not only mean, but she is dishonest. I have a claim with my renter's insurance policy, due to my apartment recently being burglarized. Rebecca Nalbandian told my boyfriend and I that we needed to send copies of all our receipts etc. My boyfriend and I overnight mailed the information to her, because she stated that she wanted to have our claim taken care of as soon as possible. Not only did Rebecca not call us when she got the package, but she called us at the end of the 2nd day after the package had arrived in her office. She told us that we were supposed to send the original receipts in, not copies. She told us that everything was ok though, and that our package would be ready within the next 48 hours. She never called us back. She didn't call us back until 3 days later, after I called her boss. She told my boyfriend that I "went over her head, and called her boss." She also called our local agent, and asked if my boyfriend and I were credible. Even though we had a police report, and have been Allstate customers for over 5 years. I haven't seen anything in their policy about needing character witnesses when you have a claim. It has been almost 2 weeks, and our claim is still up in the air. I told Rebecca that due to our rent money being taken from our apartment, that I would need her to speed up our claim payment. She told me to borrow the money from someone, and that she had questions about some of the receipts that we had sent her. She said that she would not finalize our claim until she felt more comfortable about the material that we sent her on our claim information. Rebecca Nalbandian seems to have her own agenda, and does not seem concerned with customer care at all. And the fact that I/ my boyfriend are African-American, makes me believe that Ms Nalbandian may be judging our claim through her own personal issues, as opposed to ALLSTATE policies. I am so sorry that we have insurance through this company, and when this claim is over, I plan to cancel this policy.

I have news for everyone on this website. Allstate adjusters are all alike. I work and talk to adjusters on a daily basis. I am employed with a law firm, and we have to deal with their arrogant personalities. Allstate adjusters must train at robot seminars and are programmed there to think and speak the same language. They truly do not use their brain, instead, they use a computer program to evaluate claims. So, in essence, their brains are manually programmed. The courts need to come down hard on these companies due to their bad faith in handling claims.

In all my years of dealing with ALLSTATE, KATE LOSS is the worst excuse of an adjuster I have ever seen. She is the worst one I have ever dealt with in any insurance company. She is very COMBATIVE AND HATEFUL from word #1. I had a building and it's contents damaged in an ice storm, and she would not give me a specific day or time that she would view my damage. She would not return my calls, and when I finally did talk to her, she was very RUDE, HATEFUL, AND OBNOXIOUS!! I was treated like a criminal, instead of a long time paying customer. She prejudged my damages, both financially and physically, even though she had never stepped the first foot onto my property. She kept using the words PRIOR DAMAGE AND NON-FUNCTIONING to describe my building and contents, having still not seen them.  As the water poured into my building and onto my contents, I could not get her to come out to view my damages for 11 months. I finally had to hire an attorney just to get her to come look at my damages. When allstate finally did someone out to video tape the damages, it was WITHIN 1 DAY OF BEING 12 MONTHS FROM WHEN THE ICE STORM HIT-12 MONTHS!!!!! KATE LOSS also breached allstate's insurance contract, by not replying within 30 days, after I sent them a sworn statement of loss. KATE LOSS IS CORRUPT, UNFAIR, DISHONEST, AND VERY RUDE. KATE LOSS SUCKS!!!!!!! I hope one day she gets ALL THAT SHE TRULY DESERVES!!!!!!!!!

In all my years of dealing with ALLSTATE, KATE LOSS is the worst excuse of an adjuster I have ever seen. She is constantly on the defense and starts off being hateful from word #1. She would not give me a specific day or time that she would come to view my property that was damaged in an ice storm. As water kept flowing into my building and ruining it and the contents. She would not return calls and finally when you did talk to her, she was rude, hateful, and obnoxious. These conversations were on a building and it's contents that she had never seen, but was prejudging the damage. She kept trying to throw the words PRIOR DAMAGE and NON-FUNCTIONING on my building and it's contents without even stepping the first step onto my property. This woman is very CORRUPT, DISHONEST AND UNFAIR, WITH A VERY SHITTY ATTITUDE. THIS WOMAN TRULY SUCKS!!!!!!

Mr. Brabeck refuses to engage in any conversations (by phone or mail) with anyone. His voice mail hasn’t taken a message since March 1997. Your odds of winning the powerball are better than getting in touch with this “Virtual” Adjuster. Could it be that all Allstate Adjusters are “virtual” and there are only 3 or 4 breathing employees. Perhaps the great voice impressionist, Rich Little, does characterizations for voice mail phone greetings for Allstate Adjusters that do not exist. This would explain massive Allstate profits in the face of lost lawsuit after lost lawsuit

I am sending this post in due to a letter from the adjuster Ms Rachelle Ray that I received on 5/20/00. It states that Allstate will be denying "any and all injury claims being presented as a result of this accident." A REAR END AT A RED LIGHT BY ALLSTATE'S INSURED PARTY I find it an odd coincidence that it occurs shortly after I made complaint to the WA state Insurance commissioner and prior to any medical records being reviewed by Allstate. My wife is still undergoing treatment and physical therapy for injuries caused by Allstate's insured party. We have made no demand for compensation and or lost wages and will not until such time that my wife's caregivers have completed their treatment. I now have had to retained legal counsel due to my dealings with Ms Ray

I do not feel that Allstate is handling this claim in good faith and I am not prepared to discuss settlement with them on my wife's injuries less than 1 month after this accident of 4/21/00 occurred.

Rachelle's customer skills leave much to be desired and any fellow WA state residents should report any bad faith dealings to Deborah Senn WA state Insurance commissioner.

This guy takes the cake and eats it too. Last time I checked, Allstate was a publicly traded company. As such, its is supposed to be operated for the financial benefit of the shareholders. Larry, however, uses his job as a personal sword. If you don't agree with him, he gets pissed off and instead of conceding to reason and professional judgment, he'll spend WHATEVER it takes to cost you money. Literally, he screams at you on the phone. And, get this, his "negotiation" tactic is to tell you that if you don't give him a break he'll remember it on the next claim he has with you! As though if you cut him a break, he would remember it and do likewise next time. This guy has a true Napoleon complex. What a dick!

I was in an accident in Miami Florida where I was stopped at a light and rear-ended by an Allstate insured motorist. When I called his insurance they told me that they where not sure if the persons insurance was active or not, so they would have to check things out for me. Finally (Still not accepting responsibility), sent me to see a Claims Inspection Person. So I had to take off work and go see this person. When I did, he came out looked at my vehicle. I showed him the bent down bumper, the Trailer hitch that was bent, showed him that my doors where all ajar, and that My fuses in my car kept on blowing. After his expert analysis, he came to the conclusion that the accident probably didn’t cause the doors to be out of align and that the fuses where probably a pre existing condition. He also said that they didn’t need to buy a new hitch, many of the parts could be bent back, and reused. I also explained to the man that the car did not drive right, and that it made loud noises when I hit small bumps. He explained that by his assessment of the damage, there is not much wrong with the car, and that it is still safe to drive. I offered to take him for a drive around the block, he refused, saying that there is nothing that he can see that would cause the car to be unsafe. He told me to go home, and when they could figure out if the guy had coverage, they would give me a check for the repairs. He assessed the repair to be 472.67. I, feeling the car was not safe to drive, went directly to a shop that they told me was Allstate approved. After talking to the mechanic for a few minutes, he looked at my car, and showed me where the frame was bent, and said the damage would be closer to a few thousand dollars, than a few hundred. They kept the car there, and gave me a rental car to drive. I still haven’t got a final estimate yet, and as far as I can tell, in my expert opinion, Rick Lunsford is an idiot.

How can a car sitting at a red light for 40 seconds be at fault in an accident? I don't know but ask Tammy Jones. She seems to have all the answers. Apparently, my mere existence has made me at fault in an accident. I was STOPPED at a red light and apparently it is all my fault that the lady behind me hit me and that I hit the guy in front of me. The lady who hit me said it was her fault and I was already stopped. The police say it is her fault. Tammy Jones has chosen not to even listen to my version of the accident. Another Allstate adjuster said I am not at fault based on the damages. ALLSTATE is MY insurance company and they found me at fault. Check your brains at the door if you work for Allstate because I couldn't even get my claim reassigned to an adjuster with a brain - they must not have them at Allstate in WASHINGTON!

1. Recently, Allstate named Clement McGovern, a recently retired trial judge from either Penn. or New Jersey, as its expert in a bad faith case in Philadelphia. This is the first time I have heard of McGovern as an expert in these cases and would like to hear from anyone with experience with him, particularly as an expert in an insurance bad faith case.

2. In the same case as above, Allstate has been found to have hidden and kept from its insured in a UM case a report of its own expert which verifies that insured's car was struck in rear by a vehicle which then fled the scene (the driver has never been located). Allstate of course denied the UM claim without telling the insured about the report. Has anyone else had any experience with Allstate in hiding reports and if so could you send me the names of the cases as we are trying to develop a pattern and practice case here.

3. Also in Okalahoma, is another bad faith case against Allstate. In that case the adjuster is Eddy Vargas, who I understand has been an Allstate adjuster in that area for some time. I am looking for any depositions of Vargas or anyone who has had any experience with him.

4. In an action against State Farm by a body shop owner, the shop owner is alleging that State Farm wrongfully breached an agreement whereby State Farm had placed the shop into its preferred auto repair program, at some cost to the shop owner, and then later for apparently retaliatory reasons refused to send its insured's to the shop, or make it insured's aware that this shop was also approved by State Farm. I thought I had read that there is a class action against state farm regarding its approved auto repair shop program. If anyone knows anything about this I would appreciate hearing from you, or if you have had any similar cases with State Farm.

He lied to me about what time his flight would arrive so he could get here before my contractor. Within 2 minutes of being in my home, he accused me of submitting a claim for my house's roof because I needed a new roof and my shingles were falling off. The problem with my roof was in the rear of the house and he never saw the back of the roof before making this statement, nor are the shingles falling off my roof. He was so obnoxious I pulled out a tape recorder, and that shut him up. But before this, he repeatedly asked why I had taken part of the insurance company's payment to begin with.. NASTY NASTY NASTY..

On March 11, 1999, an Allstate insured driver, Hoang C. Nguyen, struck Jose Mendez at a red light from behind in Dallas, Texas. The Dallas Police Department investigated the accident and prepared a report stating that Mr. Nguyen's "driver inattention" was the sole factor or condition that caused or contributed to the accident. Mr. Mendez suffered serious neck and back injuries in the accident and incurred almost $5,000.00 in medical bills. After nine months investigation, Allstate adjuster Melissa Boclair wrote a letter that Allstate was "unable to make a liability determination in this matter. Therefore, we must deny this claim." The case is currently in litigation to determine just who has liability for a rear end accident at a red light under Texas law!

From the horse's mouth: "Your client claimed that the other driver in the red truck backed into our insured's vehicle at the drive-through of McDonald's, yet, independent witnesses state that our insured rear-ended the red truck. I will not allow your client to change his version from the recorded statement he gave earlier, just to try and collect a settlement. He cannot have it both ways." She uses the "I am so sweet" method to make you think she is on your side and then she sticks it to you. The reason she denied my claim was because she claims my 17 year old daughter said her car was white. Mary Katherine is a liar. My daughter did not tell her that her black car was white. When I asked to hear the tape Mary Katherine said that my daughter said this on of course she could not produce it. I was told I would have a Rental car until 1-6-00 and then on 1-4-00 Mary Katherine calls and says the rental car was only approved until 12-23-99 and I had to go pay $349 out of my pocket. Oh yeah anyone with a name like Mary Katherine deserves extra votes for worst adjuster award. How country can you get?

Reason This Adjuster Sucks

I feel sorry for the people of Abilene, who have to deal with Robert Wilson, after he was tared, feathered and run out of Amarillo on a rail, or should have been. Robert knowingly denies claims based on false information. He denies fire claims based on known false information and by saying you are the only one with anything to gain from the fire. When I confronted him and asked why he was dening my claim, and that he knew that I didn't have anything to do with it, he said, and I quote, "We don't care if you had anything to do with it or not, if we want you to be guilty, you will be guilty". The kind of adjuster you can expect with Allstate. Luckily, a Judge didn't agree with him and threw out his accusations. But, an adjuster that tells you he doesn't care if you are innocent or not, surely deserves to be known as worst adjuster.

this piece of crap, lombard, asked if we could settle my claim without the use of lawyers. i said ok deal with me fairly and i will... my accident happened in dec. 1998.... i waited for months to get an adjuster to look at my damage. my three quotes were for at least $3000.00 dollars worth of damage... his adjuster said, only $1000.00 dollars.... as i call him back to discuss my claim, he then informs me that my claim is denied..... what a rat bastard..........

Reason This Adjuster Sucks

I purchased renters insurance from these agents. I asked for $50 thousand dollars coverage and then took in receipts for my "Big Ticket" items to make sure they were covered including the receipt for my wedding ring. This agent told us that the coverage limit was enough and that we were protected. Now my ring has been stolen, and these agents say that there is a $1,000 limit on jewelry claims, plus there will be a 250 dollar deductible out of that. My husband replied that my ring was worth 4 times that amount and showed the agent the receipt and mentioned that he had clearly told the agent of it's value when we signed up for insurance. Scott Ziccarelli then began to yell at my husband and said that my not having my wedding ring was not their problem, and there was nothing anybody could do about it.

Reason This Adjuster Sucks

I recently submitted a claim because my Corvette was covered with over spray at work. My buddy Don wants to do everything under the sun to screw a 20+ year customer. He suggests wet sanding and buffing but yet Allstate won't sign a letter stating that if I'm not 100% satisfied that they repaint the car! Then he suggested washing the entire car with enamel reducer and tells me that there is a likelihood that if they do it, it may destroy the emblems, weather stripping and moldings! In the same breath Don tells me they are going to have to prorate the factory paint because its 10 years old. Oh by the way I have the advice of two professional body shops that say not to do either because both situations will reduce or destroy the clear coat and accelerate premature failure of the finish! Oh yes I'm in good hands!!!!!!!

Reason This Adjuster Sucks

Vicki will put you through meaningless interviews with Private Investigators, not only you but your family is also included in Ms. Hoenigmans assault. She is also the first to call out the attorneys to not only bring on the ultimate in delays, but also attempt to assassinate your character, credit, and personal background. Also it doesn't phase her a bit to make accusations without one iota of evidence. She basically is the perfect Allsuck adjuster and probably does bleed Allstate blue. I believe this all around sniveling little twit is well deservent of worst adjuster status. If they shut down their Hudson, OH office I hope she is the first one out the door, maybe a little poetic justice.
